Literature Text

    Luna
      Far, far away you float.
Sheltering us with your brilliant luminescence.
Questioning why, do we deserve such essence?
For we have shunned you out of dote.

    Luna
Ever you watch over us in the sky.
Filling our dreams with much grace.
Guiding our children, to the right place.
Yet with you, we did not ally.

    Luna
Across the night sky, you move.
Keeping us safe, under our weather.
Moving the tides, like there light as a feather.
Yet our view of you, we did not improve.

    Luna
Why do you still keep us furled?
We have done nothing to thank you.
We have done nothing but hate you.
Then again you are the mother, mother of the world.
Yeah, Poetry isn't exactly my strong suit... but I enjoy writing it just the same.

Ok, so, I walked outside earlier tonight (Midnight to be exact) and became captivated by the beautiful full moon that was out. I was so captivated, that I decided to write a poem. Unfortunately, My phone's camera quality wasn't good enough to get more than a ball of white light when I aimed it at the moon, so I decided find one online instead. So no, this isn't my photography work XD

Now, If your unsure what I mean in certain parts of the piece then I will explain here.

First stanza: Here I'm talking about how the moon lights the way even in the darkest of nights.

Second stanza: Here I'm talking about how the moon has always been such a wonder to us, and how it governs fertility.

Third stanza: I'm talking about how the moon moves our weather around, cooling the night after the sun's hot scorching rays.

Fourth stanza: All the points I've made in the last sentences of each stanza come together in sort of a question as to why the moon does all these things for us... even after we've associated it with such evil in the past. I also come with the point that the moon is like life on earth's mother. Because, without it, life AS WE KNOW IT wouldn't exist in the way that it does today.
